Services
Genesis Home Healthcare specializes in live-in care for adults, 24 hour a day, 7 day a week. Caregivers come to the patient home or senior facility to provide any or all of the following services:
- Assistance with walking and transfer from bed to wheelchair
- Bathing , dressing up, personal hygiene and grooming assistance
- Cooking, meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Companionship
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Hourly services ( less than 24 hours) and live-in care services ( 24 hours, 7 days a week or less)
- Laundry and bed making, change of bed linens
- Medication reminders
- Range of motion exercise
- Transportation to doctor appointments, supermarket, pharmacy
- Updates to family members of the patient
How Live-In Care Works
With full time, live-in care and support, some individuals especially those with physical challenges can still continue to live independently and conveniently in the comfort of their own homes.
A live-in caregiver stays in the patient’s home 24 hours a day and is available to assist the patient the whole day, morning, noon till night. If we need to provide live-in care for 7 days a week, we have a primary caregiver and a back-up caregiver (reliever) to do the job. The primary caregiver provides care for 4-5 days a week, and the back-up caregiver takes over for the rest of the week.
Eventhough our live-in caregivers are allowed to stay on the client’s house/ premises during their assigned days and nights, still they must have a separate or permanent residence of their own.
How Hourly Care Works
Depending upon our client needs, Genesis Home Healthcare provides personal care and support on a daily, weekly, or as-needed basis.
Not all older adults need a live-in care. Many use our caregivers on an hourly basis, like minimum of 4 hours a day, 5 days a week or just during the night, just on the weekends, or just for transportation to doctor appointments and some errands. Our Home Care support and assistance are totally flexible, and we are happy to provide care and support whenever and wherever you need them.
